Integrative Pilates provides private individualized instruction to meet specific needs of the client. Some clients come to Integrative Pilates to gain strength and flexibility in their already healthy bodies so that they could improve their athletic performance in golf, tennis or any sport. Others seek out Pilates to gain core strength and spine suppleness to overcome back issues. Pilates allows these types of clients to carry out their daily activities with greater ease and confidence. The Pilates Method is also wonderful for those who want to improve their posture, muscle tone, flexibility and balance. Pilates offers a variety of benefits for every body type.
In order to get the most out of your Pilates session, it is essential to execute the movements correctly. Personalized one on one training allows the client to carry out the movements with proper form and alignment, which aids in engaging the proper muscle groups. The benefits of private instruction compared to group instruction are abundant and is quite evident after just a few private sessions.
"I had a back injury in my early twenties and it progressively became worse regardless of all my efforts in trying to heal it. In 2005, I was introduced to Pilates. I immediately felt the healing starting to take place. The increased strength that I attained from committing to Pilates was close to miraculous! In 2009, I became certified in IMX pilates for mat workouts. I continued on to the next IMX teacher training level and became certified to teach pilates on the reformer. I became intrigued by the original Pilates method and enrolled in the 600+ hour program to be certified in Authentic Pilates. I fell in love with Classical Pilates, which includes the use of all the apparatus, ie... wunda chair, reformer, ladder barrel, electric chair, spine corrector, tower, etc. In 2013, I decided to open my own studio, Integrative Pilates, so that I could help people achieve a higher state of well being and increase their core strength and flexibility. I truly believe that by integrating ones body, mind and spirit, while executing Pilates, can be a positive life changing journey......."
